Financial Accountant - Gaming - Central London
A growing Gaming and Technology business are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join the team on a full time permanent basis.
As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for role leading on financial accounting and tax, including the productionof statutory accounts for 3 entities, to input into the development of the company's IT systems as they relate to Finance, as well as to line manage the Finance Assistant.
The role offers hybrid working.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the consolidations and statutory accounts
- Reconcile from the statutory accounts to management accounts
- Play a lead role in the external audit, acting as a key contact for PwC, preparing and/or reviewing deliverables and responding to audit queries
- Prepare and/or review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations; book correcting journals as required
- Provide advice on technical accounting issues
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
- Work with PwC's tax team to complete the annual UK corporation tax computation
- Prepare the annual PSA return to HMRC
- Assist the business with tax queries
- Prepare and/or review a number of monthly and ad hoc reports for management including KPIs, cash flow, and sales and gross profit analysis
- Produce title profitability reports and financial analysis to support the senior management team in decision making
- Work together with the FP&A team on the preparation of the budget, and of the biannual (June/December) reforecast of business results
- Maintain the cashbook & management accounts
- Input into monthend / management accounting, as required
- Line manage the Finance Assistant, whose responsibilities include credit cards & expenses, cash transactions, bank reconciliations, weekly cash reporting, and nonAP payments
SKILLS:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Previous experience in Gaming, AI, Entertain apps and tech industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient IT skills including strong Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- A team player who understands the bigger picture and impact of decisions
- Selfstarter; proactive and keen to make a positive impact
