Description

Due to company growth we are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join our growing flamboyant team in Durham City Centre.

Together with our sister company, also based In Durham City Centre, we are rapidly becoming one of the largest student letting companies in the area and are looking to expand our office team to accommodate the growth.

Main tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards on Sage Line 50
Preparing annual year end accounts for all 6 companies ready for submission to an external accountant
Ensuring all client and deposit accounts reconcile ready for Audit by Governing bodies
Allocate rental payments received to the correct tenant codes using CFP software
Ensuring all landlords and contractors are paid in a timely manner
Maintain the creditors ledgers on Sage Line 50 and ensure all suppliers are paid within the credit terms
Review and post transactions from completions statements received from Company Solicitors in relation to new property purchases
Be the first point of contact to the accounts team and assist with any queries they may have

Skills and experience

Ability to work under pressure
Excellent accuracy skills
Supportive when rectifying staff queries
Willingness to learn new software packages
Vast knowledge of Sage Line 50 & Microsoft Excel
Over 10 years accountancy experience (preferable)
