Care Home Cook (Alexandra Lodge Care Home)_

As the cook, your duty would be to prepare, cook and ensure the meals are ready to be served


Your role might include:
developing healthy and balanced meals in consultation with residents dietary requirements and staff.

• Ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen, to meet the required standards of practise prescribed by Environmental Health Agencies.
• Being able to work independently and within a team.
• Being discrete and professional.
• Being efficient and dependable.
• Being Flexible and organised.
• Being respectful and friendly.
• Understanding health and safety guidelines and conforming to company policies and procedures.
• Being aware of people's religious and cultural backgrounds and how this might impact their dietary requirements.
• Developing healthy and balanced meals in line with dietary requirements.
• Ensuring paperwork is documented and logged in the correct manner.
• Ensure all equipment used is well maintained, in good working order and to log any defects and report defaults.
• Ensure all stock ordered is consistent with planned menus that reflect choice and preference.
• Work closely with the home manager by maintaining the catering budget.

Salary:
£10.81 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
