K Hill & Partners Ltd are a long-established company, based in mid Cornwall. We have been trading for over 30 years providing tree surgery, grounds maintenance and landscaping services to commercial sectors, local authorities and estate owners across Cornwall and West Devon. We have a number of teams, each specialising in the various aspects of our services.

We are seeking an
Arborist Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis. Work locations include sites across the whole of Cornwall and West Devon and provide great job variety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Confidently leading your team dealing in all aspects of tree surgery and ensuring that everyone knows what is expected of them so that work is carried out safely and efficiently
  • Be able to communicate positively and effectively with your team and manager.
  • Demonstrating competent climbing skills, rigging techniques and pruning skills
  • Adhering to health and safety standards and best practice at all times, ensuring that risk assessments are carried out
  • Motivating the team, working alongside them to lead by example and coaching them to perform at their best
  • Demonstrating an excellent knowledge of treecutting equipment, processes, techniques and health and safety standards
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner
  • Using an appbased system to read job details and log progress/completion.

Person Specification

Required:

  • At least 2 years' climbing and leadership experience as a tree surgeon
  • NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting
  • NPTC Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
  • NPTC Tree Climbing and Rescue
  • NPTC Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Freefall Techniques
  • First Aid
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • NPTC Using a Chainsaw from a MEWP
  • MEWP/IPAF 1b/3b
  • NPTC Rigging / Pruning
  • CSCS card
  • SSSTS
  • Driving licence including towing (B+E)
  • Chipper

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
