We are a Five Star, Higher Standard rated doggy daycare, home boarding and luxury cat hotel, set in 15 acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside just 5 minutes from Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield.

We pride ourselves on offering a top quality service to discerning dog and cat owners who rely on us to provide the best care for their animals while they are at work or on holiday.

We are not a kennels

Our success has led to significant growth and we are investing in our future by recruiting an additional team member.

We are open minded as to whether this is on a part or full time basis.

The role entails:

Dealing with all aspects of the care of cats and dogs. This includes the preparation of cat pens and dog rooms, managing the arrival and departure of animals, feeding, enrichment and daily care, observing health and behaviour and documenting it, identifying and reporting risks and issues, exercising dogs in groups or in pairs plus feeding, light washing and grooming.
Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas, follow and implement safe practices as directed
Working in a team, supporting others when needed, and being prepared to take on varying husbandry tasks
Being prepared to work some weekends and bank holidays (with time off in lieu or additional pay)

We are looking for:

Someone with a strong work ethic, who has shown dedication in their own training and who is an animal lover and a natural, confident leader
An individual who will report effectively to the business owners to ensure they are updated and kept informed of any issues.
A person who has shown good attainment in their studies, however, we prioritise attitude, work ethic and affinity with animals as we provide ongoing support and training
Someone with good IT skills and at least basic knowledge of social media

Your experience

You will understand canine body language and behaviour and positive based training methods

An OFQUAL Level 2 or Level 3 qualification will be an advantage:

You will be able to identify specific needs of cats and dogs, dependent on breed, age, temperament, mobility and energy levels.
You will be able to bring fresh ideas to the business with new approaches to enrichment routines keeping the happiness of the pets in your care at the forefront of everything that you do.

The role

This is predominantly a Monday
Friday position, but we are specifically looking for someone who can cover some weekends and holiday periods alongside other staff members when the owner is away. You will be able to take days off in lieu.
We start early and finish late. Your shift pattern will include a mix of early starts or late finishes (not both). If you're looking for a 95, this is not for you
We will consider part time as well as full time applicants
Based in Chalfont St Giles, Bucks close to Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield. You will need to have transport of your own to get here. Ideally, you will live close by. (N.B. we have a strong emphasis on punctuality)
