Tudor Employment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Waste/Recycling Operative to service the Leek (ST13) area.

You will be working in a busy waste collection environment, involving some interaction with members of the public.

No experience is required, although previous experience of working in the environmental sector would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position with ongoing work available.

Are you the right person for this role? The Waste/Recycling Operative will:

Have access to their own vehicle as the role will involve working across multiple sites
Be reliable and hard working in nature
Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety as some elements of manual handling will be involved

What will I be doing? Duties of the Waste/Recycling Operative will include:

Sorting and segregation of waste
Processing waste material using plant equipment
Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Assist in loading and unloading of goods
Undertake associated housekeeping as required

What are the hours of work?

This is a full-time vacancy, working on average 40 hours per week. Usual working hours are between 8:00AM-5:00PM though occasional flexibility will be required. You will be expected to work 5 days out of 7.

What is the rate of pay?

The Waste/Recycling Operative will be paid at a rate of £10.42 per hour.
