We are a family run organic mixed farm, we milk 150 cross bred cows with Lely robots, and farm 1000 acres.

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and diligent member to join our team. You must work to high standards of animal welfare and herd health.

The role will mainly cover work with the dairy cows, calves, young stock, maintenance of the robotic milkers and yard work.

Essential:

• Some experience working with cows is essential, whilst your approach and attitude is most important to us, and we are happy to train you, there will be times you will be in sole charge of the yard.
• The farm is very active and you will need to be able to balance different activities, prioritise and work efficiently in an environment that changes day to day.
• You will need to be on shift every other weekend, working in the day and being on emergency call at night. Accommodation on site will be available for the weekend if needed.
• We can offer flexibility on hours, but 7am start on days on are necessary.
• An aptitude for fixing and maintaining things is highly beneficial, this will principally be on the robotic milking machines, but could be more generally across the farm.

Pay will be dependant on experience.

Hours is dependent on your availability, minimum 20 hours a week on average up to full time, and overtime if desired.

You will be working alongside an excellent herd manager and an experienced team.
