Scheme details

Starting in September 2023 the LMTS scheme lasts for 24 months.

Throughout your placements you will develop skills such as project and financial management, planning and organisation of services, analysis of complex data to inform decision making, service and quality improvement, managing people and teams, leadership and change management.


Our placements are actual jobs which have been identified as requiring resource so you will be doing real work from day one with responsibility supported by a comprehensive learning programme.

We offer a diverse experience of working as part of the operational management team.

The salary for the scheme is £29,833 per annum

Main duties of the job

What will the job roles entail?

  • Supporting managers in different teams to operationally manage and mobilise resources or undertaking projects to improve service delivery.
  • Developing capacity and demand plans to appropriately manage waiting lists and flow including reporting and measuring efficiency.
  • Supporting the achievement of national and local performance objectives
  • Working with clinical and nonclinical teams to ensure continuous service and efficiency improvements.
