Your new role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent
Carpenter & Joiner to join our Glasgow Schools account, this role is based on-site.
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Glasgow Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 30 schools (Europe's largest educational Private Finance Initiative).

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
Carpenter & Joiner plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the schools is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week (shift pattern 07.00am till 15.00pm during term time and 08.00am till 16.00pm out with term time plus a 30-minute unpaid break.

You will be responsible for:
- Carry out joinery work to include repairing of doors, windows, signposts, formwork and other bespoke timber items.
- Measure and quote for works.
- Order materials.
- Maintain stock of Building Maintenance material.
- Organise and plan your daily work with the supervisor, to record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant works orders.
- Responsible for joinery workshop maintenance of machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping and cleanliness.
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Level 3 in Joinery & Carpentry.
- Manual tool handling.
- Ladder use.
