Management Accountant
Salary up to £50K, 20% bonus and pension
North West England with hybrid working
Our client is a leading investor looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. The Management Accountant will support the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of high-profile projects.
On offer is a salary of up to £50K, 20% bonus, hybrid working, 10% pension contribution and healthcare insurance plus the chance to join a dynamic and growing organisation who will offer plenty of development opportunities.
The Management Accountant will:
- Prepare / approve VAT reconciliations and prepare and submit VAT returns
- Prepare quarterly management accounts to deadlines
- Prepare written commentary and variance analysis as required
- Update project operating models quarterly for actual results and cash flows
- Prepare an operating model for annual budgeting
- Prepare statutory accounts and a supporting yearend audit file
- Have line manager responsibility for an Accounts Assistant, supporting their development and performance.
About you:
- Organised and able to plan own workload to meet deadlines
- Methodical and logical thinker able to gather information and recommend solutions
- Strong communicator at all levels
- Team player
- Persuasive and able to influence
Technical requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (or almost qualified)
- Excellent Excel skills
- Preparation of management and statutory accounts
- Working knowledge of Corporation Tax, VAT and CIS, including recent legislation
- Proficiency in Sage Line 50 accounting software
