Description

The University of Sheffield delivers life-enhancing research, innovation and education - come and join one of the teams that makes that possible.

In IT Services, we're dedicated to providing excellent IT systems, services and infrastructure that support these aims and meet the needs of our students and colleagues.

Our world is dynamic and so are we.

We work closely with everyone who uses technology at the University to make sure it works for them, so they can focus on improving themselves and the world around us.

So, if you want to support the next generations of students, leaders and researchers, we want you on our team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to join the IT Services Executive Team, which is responsible for the delivery of our technology-enabled strategy and IT operational services.

We have a product-led delivery model that supports the University's mission.

We are seeking a creative, focused, high-performing and engaging Service Delivery and Infrastructure leader to lead our Service and Platforms teams to deliver our strategic vision.

You will be confident working with colleagues across the University to ensure that our key technology platforms and services continue to be fit for purpose and that we provide the right levels of service across the institution.

You will have a wide range of experience of building and leading high-performing teams, delivering large-scale deployments and services and an excellent track record of strategic influencing across a wide range of customers and partners.

A good understanding of Infrastructure strategy and Information Security is also required as you will work closely with University's CISO and CTO, ensuring that our technology platforms and service delivery are aligned with our Information Security and Technology Strategy needs.

You will work across the department to embed our values and ways of working.

This is a rare opportunity to work in an exceptional university within a creative team who have the drive and determination to design and deliver sector-leading products and services to our wide customer base.
