Description
The role involves working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or a small group supporting their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
A desirable teaching assistant must have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathetic and nurturing characteristics
- High expectations of the children in their care
The teaching assistant role includes:
- Providing 1:1 support
- Delivering group activities from the teachers planning
- Preparing and setting up resources
- Using your own initiative
- Developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in children
As a teaching assistant, you require:
An enhanced Child Workforce DBS - we can process one for you ready for September.
- Registered with the EWC we can help with your registration.
- 2 years of professional references
- A Right to Work documentation.
If you're still in education, we can still get you registered with us ready for when you finish your course - this ensures immediate availability as soon as you finish education.
