Global manufacturing engineering business require a Services Buyer.

Applicants need material or services procurement experience, stakeholder management skills and be comfortable within a project-led manufacturing or engineering services business.

The Services Buyer will be responsible for acting as a procurement representative on engineering and construction related projects.

The procurement associated with the role is predominately indirect or support service in nature - fleet, vehicle leasing,groundworks, construction, installation contractors, consultants or technical facilities management.

Previous exposure to these areas would not be required in the role.

Specific duties of the Services Buyer include:

Management of a c£20m spend across project requirements for technical construction and engineering services
Develop and foster rapport with Project Managers you could be supporting 68 projects simultaneously
Negotiation and award of contracts to suppliers to reflect project saving targets
Manage commercial and contractual relationships with suppliers are KPIs, SLAs etc. being met
Support procurement department management to improve processes, systems and technology

Services Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Procurement experience, as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Buyer or Indirect Buyer
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction or indirect procurement advantageous
Ability to negotiate and manage suppliers
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to use procurement technology
MRP/ERP etc.
