Purpose of the Role

I am representing a client within Kent, who are looking for someone to help create places where people want to live by promoting sense of community and preventing and managing tenancy breaches.

You will be expected to promote resident responsibility for thebehaviours of themselves, their households, and visitors to meet the conditions of their tenancy agreements.


Main Responsibilities

  • Help customers to understand their responsibilities as tenants and how to sustain their tenancy
  • Enable tenants to sustain their tenancies through proactive partnership working and signposting according to tenant needs
  • Identify and implement proactive and preventative approaches to creating places where people want to live and making sure tenancy agreements are maintained
  • Provide professional advice and guidance, scrutiny, and support, to internal colleagues and external partners on all relevant cases
  • Help provide a consistent and responsive enforcement service through case referrals, case audits and progress reviews with colleagues and partners
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external customers, statutory agencies, and referralbased services to support excellent local area delivery and ensure they receive a genuine and positive experience
  • Undertake all appropriate activities to deliver successful outcomes on legal cases for the organisation liaising with legal services/solicitors for advice, guidance, and legal actions

Requirements:


  • Experience in dealing with antisocial behaviour, crime and community safety issues or experience in social housing or tenancy management
  • Organised and logical approach to file management to effectively prepare and maintain case files and court documentation
  • Ability to review past and current actions with individual cases and undertake audits to ensure approaches are in accordance with policy and procedure, best practice, and legislative requirements
  • Knowledge of current issues, legislation, and best practice in relation to the housing management all tenures, estate management and community safety
  • Proven strong communication, interpersonal and written skills adaptable to all audiences, with desirable experience of interviewing victims and perpetrators and writing witness statements
  • Demonstrable experience of shaping and implementing proactive projects for the better delivery of service
  • Experience of resolving problems / tenancy breaches in a holistic and tailored way
