Assistant Accountant

We are on the search for an ambitious, positive, and eager accountant who wants to put their skills to the test to evolve within their accounting career in a fast paced environment.

Working within an ever growing facilities management business, this rolewill see you working with all subsidiaries of their main parent company.

The Role:

You will be working within a small, friendly team reporting to the Finance Manager, ensuring that day to day duties are completed accurately and on time.

Your day to day will include:

Preparation of month end journaling
Balance sheets reconciliations
Maintaining and rolling forward monthly reporting packs
Employee reporting including analysis of vehicles and employees to Contract Managers to support the monthly review
Month end contractors' reviews
Maintaining records associated with charging fleet vehicles including updates to system allocations and costs
Key analysis for month end reporting pack on their monthly work in progress (WIP)
General Support on the forecasting and budgets
Other general adhoc and audit queries

About you:
You'll enjoy working in a busy environment and be comfortable with a hybrid working set up

You will also:

Have an outstanding attention to detail
Intermediate understanding of management accounting
Be confident in your Microsoft Excel skills
Have prior knowledge of using accounting systems
Be a good communicator who can explain financial data to nonfinancial colleagues to help them better understand their business decisions.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent and hybrid basis with 3days within the office and 2 working days at home.
