Description

Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

Position:

Great opportunity to join our Warehouse Team as a Warehouse Operative preparing and dispatching customer orders from stock held at the company warehouse sites.

Ensuring priority orders are processed and sent on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring priority orders are processed and sent on time
Use in house scanners to pick and pack orders, achieving dispatch within specified timescales
Accurate order picking with mínimal errors
Use inhouse computer system to produce despatch notes and invoices
Carry out accurate stock checking and inventory as required
Achieve targets and job standards set by the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
Communicate effectively with all team members
Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
Work effectively with the team and proactively seek work
Perform any reasonable request from the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
Work efficiently and cooperatively as part of a team
Keep work areas clean and tidy
Follow Health & Safety rules and maintain standards rigorously

Requirements:

Essential

Ability to learn an inhouse computer and scanning system
Ability to listen and follow instructions accurately
Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
Be able to lift and carry weights up to 15kg approx
Good communication skills
Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work independently
Organised and methodical working

Desirable

Experience of working in a warehouse environment
Experience of picking and packing
Experience of using computerbased packing systems
Experience of courier dispatch
Qualified and competent to use a Forklift Truck
