Description

Weekend Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, based Leicestershire, newly created permanent vacancy for a qualified and experienced maintenance engineer, working a permanent weekend shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday (36 hours per week).

Your working pattern willinclude 3 x 12-hour shifts starting at 05.30 until 17.30 across 3 days and is offered with an attractive salary of £40,000 plus competitive employee benefits package.


As the Weekend Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure that all PPM and root cause analysis work is completed, reported and communicated across the wider business, ensuring that all engineers are aware of the weekend activity.

This role does requireyou to conduct an element of training, ensuring that machine operators can perform all required functions and tasks, the ability to identify parts for refurbishment, obtain new parts via the supply chain and uphold all Health and Safety requirements in linewith plant equipment and staff operation.


As Weekend Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will have at least 3 years previous, relevant work experience with proven skills in mechanical fault finding, the ability to repair and maintain pneumatic, automated and hydraulic assembly lines and some knowledgeof PLC's (Siemens or Allen Bradley), further supported by strong working knowledge within a FMCG environment.

Ideally educated to NVQ 3/ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering standard, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced workingknowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook for reporting and internal communication with the wider management and maintenance team.
