Job Spec:

We are now looking for a General Operative to join our Fareham depot to ensure the smooth day to day operations by maintaining the yard and workshop.

The position is a great varied role which will have some responsibilities in maintaining our stores and stock system.

You will also have the opportunity to go out to construction sites and support our team of concrete pump operators acting as a line's person and well as supporting operations with any yard duties.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm with flexibility of an ad hoc Saturday for the needs of the business.

Over time is paid at 1.5 x hourly rate.

Flexibility on working hours when acting as a linesman on site as required to start early or finish late.

Your duties will include:

To support the concrete pump operators onsite acting as a linesman
Ensure the depot is maintaining the required stock levels
Obtaining quotes and reviewing prices to ensure we obtain the best quality parts at the best price.
Ordering parts directly from suppliers.
Raising purchased orders and adhering to approval processes.
Matching PO and delivery notes to support the finance team.
Update Truckfile (stock control system) so that correct data is recorded in a timely fashion and is available as required.
Delivering parts to site and assisting operators on site.
Assisting fitters as required in the workshop.
Cleaning Machines
Maintaining knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in relation to your role.
Representing Camfaud Concrete Pumps in a professional and knowledgeable way.
Ensuring the yard, workshop and office areas are kept tidy.
General yard and workshop maintenance
Any other task as requested by the Operations Manager
