Do you have an interest in nutrition and dietetics? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Admin Assistant to support the community dietetic service in Wandsworth.

The post is part-time 22.5hrs per week and flexible working hours can be agreed.


You will also be part of the large acute dietetic department at St George's Hospital in Tooting, who provide clinical inpatient and outpatient services to a variety of specialties including oncology, renal, neurology, haematology, paediatrics, cardiology, major trauma, gastro, surgical, diabetes, infectious diseases and HIV.


The department is committed to training dietetic students and actively participates in the training programmes of clinical and non-clinical staff.

You will provide high quality and efficient admin support to the

community dietetic team at St John's Therapy Centre, near Clapham Junction, You may also be required to provide occasional admin cover for the community dietetic team at Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton.


You will book patient appointments on Rio information system, deal with patient queries on the telephone, maintain databases for patient records, and order equipment/supplies.

You will need excellent IT and organisational skills; previous recent experience in a healthcare setting is essential and preferably experience within a dietetics team.


You will need to be able to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and staff, both face-to-face and on the telephone, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
