FINANCE DEPARTMENT - BOOKKEEPER (PART TIME OR FULL TIME)About the company
The Finance Department is a growing customer focused accounting service based in Exeter City Centre, that manages the financial reporting and bookkeeping for SMEs across the UK.
We use our commercial experience to not only provide the transactional and compliance support required by our clients but also add value along the way.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing Purchase Invoices either directly in Xero or indirectly via processing Apps, such as Dext
- Responsible for monthly reconciliations of client Accounts Payable Ledgers, ensuring timely and accurate data
- Processing Customer Sales Invoices
- Preparation of client weekly/monthly supplier payment runs
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and other contacts
- Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
- Managing and filing inhouse and client documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely timesheets
- Possess firstrate numerical skills
- Strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role
- Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business
- Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages, preferably already Xero
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach
- Possess 5 GCSE's above Grade 4+ (C+), including Maths and English or training towards specialist qualifications such as AAT
- Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets
Working Hours:
Full Time or Part Time considered, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch).
20 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) pro rata.
Salary:
£21,000 to £24,000 depending on qualifications and/or experience
