Main purpose of the job:

Daily management of the workshop workload.


Liaison with the various workshop departments: Bodyshop, mechanical, Parts Department to ensure that all job card work lines can be completed & vehicles processed according to KPI's.

Raising any issues encountered to the relevant parties/workshop controller, upgrades, downgrades requests, vehicle progress chasing.

There will also be a focus on ensuring the correct health and safety standards/procedures.


Main responsibilities:


  • Working with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless service for customers
  • Scheduling work to meet customer needs, considering workshop targets, the complexity of each job and the availability of parts.
  • Working from spreadsheets supplied by the workshop controller/Technical Manager for priority vehicles.
  • Moving Vehicles inside and around workshops.
  • Fitment of small parts (tools supplied if required).
  • General Housekeeping inside and around the workshops.
  • Ensuring standards are adhered to.

Skills and experience required:


  • Full Driving Licence is essential.
  • To have a basic knowledge of HSE legislation.
  • Must have strong communication skills, communicating effectively with colleagues and giving clear instructions where appropriate.
  • Able to demonstrate good time management with the ability to prioritise the workload and work to deadlines.
  • Able to cope well under pressure in a very busy atmosphere whilst ensuring attention to detail is always maintained.
