Accounts Assistant / Administrator


The position would suit an enthusiastic and friendly person with a 'can-do' attitude, who is used to an office-based environment.

You will have strong computer skills, good verbal and communication abilities and be able to get along with others in a small group.

You will be organised, conscientious and diligent as accuracy and attention to detail will be critical in your role. Discretion will also be key when handling confidential financial information.

We offer a competitive basic salary, pension contribution and annual discretionary bonus.

You will receive 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising by one day for every full year of service to a maximum of 25 days (five weeks).


Requirements:
You will have experience within the financial services administration, with banking/accounts experience being useful but not essential. You will be used to working to daily deadlines and managing your personal workflow. You must be able to work on your own initiative and in collaboration with others. You will be reliable and dedicated and may be a returner to the workforce after a career break.

You will have strong computer skills and be a proficient user of Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be familiar with working with figures and form filling.

You will have at least five good GCSE results with a minimum 'B' grade (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language.


Your responsibilities:

The role will include various duties associated with the administration and management of client money for the firm in line with FCA CASS guidelines and our regulatory reporting requirements.

We will provide on the job training on our bespoke systems and all aspects of the cash management process to supplement your knowledge.

Members of the team share certain core daily tasks as well as owning first line responsibility for others.


You will:

  • Manage the settlement of trades between the market and client accounts
  • Ensure accuracy of all client bank account details held on our operating system
  • Set up payments through online banking
  • Process dividend claims to and from the market
  • Maintain the General Cashbook ledger in XERO
  • Collate month end reports for the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Review client paperwork and check bank payment details
  • Other duties as advised from time to time by the Partners.

£21,150.00-£24,188.00 per year
