We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Business Partner to join the close-knit finance department of a small but growing education charity committed to improving the lives of children and young people.

The organisation works closely with schools, families and communities to ensure children, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, develop the skills and resilience needed to succeed.


As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role within the Finance Department by overseeing day-to-day financial operations, driving key processes such as audits and budgeting, and providing invaluable financial support across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and deliver highquality management accounts including analysis and commentary to the Senior Management Team (SMT) in an accurate and timely manner, including monthly finance reports and dashboards.
  • Oversee the production of clear and practical departmental monthly budget reports for budget holders, business partnering to improve understanding of budget reports
  • Lead on the production of the annual budget, collaborating with SMT, Department Heads and other budget holders
  • Lead cash flow management initiatives to ensure optimal financial health.
  • Lead the production and audit of annual statutory accounts, collaborating closely with colleagues and serving as the primary contact with auditors.
  • Line management of a finance officer, overseeing finance processing
  • Be CCAB qualified or equivalent
  • Have proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles, ideally within the charity or education sector.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Be committed to continuous learning and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
