As a member of the stores team, assist in delivering a complete stores service to the TMI Production teams.

Carry out materials movements (check, receive, inspect, store, kit, relocate, safely and accurately, using the appropriate packaging and mechanical handling equipment and techniques).

This position is based at our Engineering Centre in Leyton.

Shift Pattern:
_7 days on, 7 days off, working days and nights where required_

  • Internal use only
  • This role is RFJ and is based in TMI._

Requirements:


We're looking for someone to

  • Assist with all goods in and goods out transactions as required by Line Manager, to include handle, store, package and transport materials safely in a manner that will maintain their fitness for purpose.
  • Meet Production material requirements from TMI stock, delivering to the "point of use" specified by the requestor.
  • Maintain good working relationships with Production and flexibly meet their changing requirements for material supply, in order to help TMI achieve production targets and objectives
  • Accurately record stores transactions in the computer system, to maintain the integrity of the database.
  • Undertake stock counts are met in line with the programme issued by the Stores Manager to meet audit stock count requirements.
  • Adhere to all stores work instructions, procedures, and legislation, in respect of materials processed through the stores.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in all store's locations including individual storage locations.
  • Assist line manager in the solution of queries arising from daytoday transactions.
  • Have ability to work within a team and under own initiative.
  • Have ability to learn all aspect of the store's functions.
  • Drive road vehicles when necessary both on and off site.

You'll need

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role

Desirable

  • Warehouse or stores experience
  • Have or are willing to gain the ability to operate the relevant standards for forklift truck driving, slinging and the use of overhead cranes using chains, slings eye bolts, high
- and low-level pickers, powered pallet truck, pedestrian tow truck, etc. Where necessary to undertake above work.

  • Have or are willing to achieve National Vocational Qualifications
