We are recruiting for a Head of Planning & Scheduling to join our Pumps Parts & Retrofits (PPR) team within the Services EMEA division at Sulzer.
This is a great opportunity where you can make your mark by improving our scheduling capabilities for large complex projects - creating and harmonising the scheduling practices across the PPR EMEA region.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Set up scheduling processes & capabilities including standard templates, scheduling rules, procedures, process flow & interfaces with key stakeholders, WBS (work breakdown structure) and reporting KPIs across EMEA
- Harmonize and standardize project scheduling processes across all Sulzer PM hubs
- Implement critical path & float methodology
- Define standard templates & WBS (work breakdown structure) for Tender and Project Schedules
- Assist in the creation of Tender Schedules (preaward) and Project Schedules (postaward) for critical/complex tenders/projects and ensure their regular updating
- Support operations and engineering teams in foreseeing planning and schedule analysis in the context of claim management when required
- Guide project teams with schedule improvement and mitigating actions during monthly project reviews
- Work closely with global factory planning to incorporate manufacturing schedules
- Drive OTD (ontime delivery) through better schedule management, risk identification, and best practice sharing across the Energy business unit
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 10 yrs experience as a Scheduling Manager (OEM or EPC)
- Firsthand experience as a project scheduler
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project SAP and Orsoft
- Experience in driving EMEA improvement initiatives & change management

- Experience in driving global improvement & transformation initiatives
- Engineering degree
- Ability to design, review and manage complex systems and processes
- An ability to assimilate information and communicate with stakeholders
- Proactive nature with a desire to continuously improve processes and problemsolving
- Excellent attention to detail
- Handson approach
