International Officer (Europe and the Americas)
SBU/Department: Enterprise and Business Development / International Office
FTE: 1 fte
Duration of Contract: Fixed Term (1 year Maternity Cover)
Salary: UH7 £35,333 pa
- £38,592 pa with potential to progress to £42,155 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

    Main duties and responsibilities
  • The International Officer for Europe and the Americas is operationally responsible for delivering the University's corporate international agenda within the region. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and manage the sales / recruitment channels, delivering against agreed international student recruitment targets for the territory. The post holder will represent the University at relevant international higher education events within the region and conferences to enhance the reputation and the brand image of the University. The post holder will help support partnerships with overseas institutions and build successful relationships with external stakeholders as well as manage marketing and sales activities with these institutions, agents and sponsor bodies. The role has a strong service focus and requires a high standard of service to both external and internal stakeholders.
    Skills and experience required
  • You will need to have a successful track record of working in international student experience and have knowledge of relevant admissions and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to assist international recruitment.
  • Experience of identifying and developing new markets and approaches for student recruitment is essential as well as experience of working in sales in both a commercial and public sector environment.
  • A proven track record of developing international partnerships, including the effective development and implementation of international strategies.

  • Hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or have substantial proven work experience.
