This** Learning Support Assistant

  • SEN
    opportunity based in Worthing, West Sussex** might be a suitable role for you.
As a dedicated **Learning Support Assistant

  • SEN** you will be supporting children in a social care environment aged between 718 years with SEMH needs (social, emotional and mental health). This setting is classroom based with a set up of 37 students, a teacher and 2 Teaching Assistants so there is plenty of support around you at all times.


The school does not follow the national curriculum so classes are tailored to allow the young people to flourish in area's of interest.


You will be expected to be comfortable with challenging behaviour, encourage individuals potential and progression through guiding their learning journey as well as promoting good communication and positive relationship building.


Tasks will include getting involved in fun enrichment activities both on and offsite (swimming, agricultural etc), helping to prepare learning materials, running classroom activities, supervising and providing emotional support to the young people.

Shifts are Monday-Friday term time only and
08:30am-16:30pm.

Requirements for you as a
Learning Support **Assistant

  • SEN**:
  • Experience of working with young people or adults with SEN needs in social care.
  • Dedicated to helping others development

  • Resilient and proactive
Pay rate is £10.25- £10.50 per hour + Holiday pay

After sucessful completion of 12 weeks this will transfer to an annual salary of £18,732.00 per year.
