Salford dietetics is a forward thinking team with a deserved reputation for quality improvement, service development and research activities.

Coming to join our team within our rotational band 6 program will allow you to get involved in these activities first hand as well as being able to develop your clinical and professional skills in a University teaching hospital within a team of over 50 dietetic and support staff.

Staff within the rotations have monthly CPD sessions to develop knowledge around all the specialisms included within the rotations alongside other clinical and professionally relevant topics.

The rotations last for 12 months and change in May each year.

Posts in the rotation are:

Aged and Complex Medicine (ACM)
Renal Medicine
UGI Surgery
Nutrition Support Team
Medical gastroenterology
Metabolics
Weight management

You should have good post registration experience of working as a Band 5/6 with some existing skills in at least one of the specialities within the rotation.

Day to day activities differ according to the specialism within which you will work but all will allow you to develop a wide range of clinical skills.

Within the wider dietetic team there are opportunities to develop other skills such as supervision, training and taking part in/leading on audits and QI projects.
