Description
Cambridge Dial a Ride has vacancies for Volunteer Minibus drivers to help us provide essential minibus transport for people with mobility issues in and around the City of Cambridge.
You must be fit and able to drive one of our minibuses, however, the hours are very flexible and can be totally as and when you have availability.
Cambridge Dial a Ride is a registered Charity and operates under a Section 19 permit transporting its members to health visits, shopping trips, days out or simply to visit family and friends.
In addition to driving a minibus, responsibilities will include checking the bus for faults before each shift, ensuring passengers are safely seated, belted and secured if in a wheelchair and disembarked after each journey.
A full UK driving licence is required.Full traning via a MIDAS training course will be given to all accepted volunteers as well as an advanced DBS check due to the fact you will working with vulnerable adults.
