Job description:
The role of Principal Security and Resilience lead is responsible for setting the strategic direction for innovation and leadership in delivery of proportionate and effective security and resilience advice and assurance across the SDA, Defence nuclear and Defence Industry.
As Principal Security and Resilience lead, you will be managing a small team of skilled security professionals, working closely with industry partners and the wider customer base.
You will be responsible for managing the threat and security associated with the dreadnought programme, working in an industry alliance with Rolls Royce Submarines and BAE Systems Submarines, in one of the UKs largest acquisition programmes.

About the role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead on the development and implementation of the Dreadnought Alliance security and resilience strategy, driving business efficient and effective security delivery.
- Provide the Dreadnought Alliance Leadership Board with appropriate advice and assurance to support their responsibilities in security and resilience.
- Build effective strategic relationships with sponsors, industry partners with service providers, MOD policy owners and OGDs.
- Represent Dreadnought Alliance interests to representatives of the Defence Industry and international partners.
- Champion professional development by working with the Security Profession to set and drive continuous learning standards.
- Responsible for enabling an effective security culture across the Dreadnought Alliance and embody the example for the organisation.
- Management of security threat advice related to the Dreadnought Alliance and its supply chain.
Person specification:
- Security Risk Management (ISO 31001 or equivalent qualification) OR equivalent relevant professional experience in Security Risk management
- CSyP (Chartered Security Professionals)
- CNSP (Certified Nuclear Security Professional)
- CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure)
- Threat Understanding
- Risk Understanding and Mitigation
- Making effective decisions
