An exciting opportunity has now been opened for a motivated, organised, flexible individual who would complete our Admin Team at Milton Keynes Renal Unit.


The post is for those seeking for a part time role and fixed days but would also need to be flexible to cover annual leaves.


The post holder is required to assist in the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department.

This will be through supporting the Unit Manager, Medical Secretary and Patient Administrator Team in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to the renal patients.


Milton Keynes Renal Unit is a Satellite Unit of Oxford Kidney Unit and provides an Outpatient Service of Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis and Renal Clinics for patients in Milton Keynes and some part of Buckinghamshire.


Milton Keynes Renal Unit is a nurse led unit with a highly motivated team committed to a high quality of service, developing individual potential and continuing education.

The unit has strong links with the Oxford Kidney Unit and Oxford Brookes University which enable the educational and professional development of staff.


The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience.

Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.


The post holder is required to assist in the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department.

This will be through supporting the Unit Manager, Medical Secretary and the Patient Admin Team in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team.

This will involve communicating appointment and admission related information to patients and carers and/or typing correspondence as appropriate.
