Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a market leading, thriving and rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing business based in Preston.

This position is on a fixed term contract, initially for 3 months, with the chance of being extended.

Mpeople Recruitment currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our prestigious client's Production Team working as a Machine Operator at their premises in Preston.

They are a small friendly team where every member of staff is as important aseach other.

You would be responsible for operating CNC machines.

You will have an eye for detail and have familiarity with Miyano Lathes and FANUC Oi-TD CONTROL, as this is essential.


Hours of work:
Mon

  • Thurs :15 / Fri

Salary:
£17p/hr (£33,150pa)


Main Responsibilities:

  • Where required, programme machines in line with technical information provided
  • Set up the tooling required to produce parts
  • Carry out first offs to ensure parts meet quality and technical requirements specified
  • Run product batches to technical requirements
  • Check dimensions prior to passing for Inspection
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements
  • Comply with quality and regulatory standards
  • Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a CNC Setter/Operator role using Miyano multi axis machines
  • Experience of FANUC Oi-TD CONTROL is essential
  • Previous Aerospace / Automotive experience would be advantageous
  • Must be able to program/set and operate machines with Fanuc controls
  • Health and safety environment
  • Focussed with attention to detail
  • A team player
  • Work with engineering and the quality team to improve all aspects of the manufacturing process
