Accounting/Finance Intern, UK (Remote)


This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounting / Finance undergraduate to join our team as an Intern on a 6-9 month fixed term contract.

The role will be varied, allowing someone to obtain broad experience and gradually increase their responsibilities.

The primary goal of the role will be assisting the team in automating its processes, particularly around the Procure to Pay cycle.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Raise AP bills, collate and store contracts, obtain approvals, set up bank payments, perform payment reconciliations;
  • Assist the Finance Systems Analyst with preparing data needed to automate the P2P system;
  • Support the Order to Cash team with bank reconciliations and automation projects;
  • Assist with the company's partnership commission scheme;
  • Checking and processing expenses reimbursement payments;
  • Be the first point of contact for finance queries from the wider business;
  • Reporting any discrepancies and ensuring these are resolved on a timely basis;
  • Assist the Finance Manager & Head of Finance and Accounting with other ad hoc tasks, analysis and reporting, as require; and
  • Provide audit support.

Required Experience:


  • 1+ year work experience

Third year student, studying towards an Accounting and / or Finance degree:

  • You are a determined, conscientious individual who demonstrates initiative
  • You are highly numerical individual with an analytical mindset
  • You have a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping
  • You have a high standard of written and spoken English
  • You are highly organised and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
  • You are able to work under pressure
  • You take an open and collaborative approach to your work
  • You are not satisfied with the status quo and enjoy finding proactive, innovative ways to improve systems and processes
  • You are studying towards an Accounting and / or Finance degree
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Experience using accounting software would be an advantage
  • Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, Sumifs, Pivot tables etc)
