Position Summary


A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Corporate Affairs Assistant to join the Corporate Affairs team based in our Glasgow Head Office, reporting directly to Digital Communications Lead.


This role is a key part of the global communications team in the UK, Asia Pacific, Americas and Dominican Republic and will work in partnership with the Communications Lead and the Senior Corporate Communications Manager in crafting, improving and delivering a wide range of communications, ensuring employees feel informed and engaged about the business, its performance, strategy and culture.

Job Description


A significant part of this role is to lead and deliver the internal communications and engagement strategy for the Global Supply Chain function.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Lead aspects of global internal communications, such as Alcohol Responsibility Month for the UK, digital communication channels such as screens.
  • Work in partnership with the Corporate Affairs Director to devise evaluation metrics for Global Supply Chain communications.
  • Problem solving to find new ways of communicating to GSC colleagues who do not have regular access to a laptop or other company mobile device.
  • Ownership of writing, editing and posting internal intranet stories.
  • Support the global brand and corporate affairs teams on the production of internal videos/photography.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Office and Events Manager to stage events at 100 Queen Street and crafting the communications to drive employee engagement.
  • Work alongside the HR Communications and Engagement Manager to edit and update global corporate policies within the remit of Corporate Affairs and external regulatory changes.
  • Ownership of maintaining key corporate materials, including PowerPoint presentations, and management of the photography and film asset libraries.
  • Regular review of the corporate website to ensure that content and images are uptodate and relevant.
  • Use Edrington's media monitoring system to ensure the team has comprehensive, accurate and up to date information.
  • Administration of invoices, expenses and product requests for the corporate affairs team
  • Provide confidential administration support to the corporate affairs global team where required.
Skills and Experience
Ideally you will have experience of using Microsoft programmes including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel along with image editing software.
