We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team within Tarasis Housing

Hours of work:


  • Monday
  • Friday (8:30am 5:30pm)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining sales ledger including raising sales invoices.
  • Liaising with the Housing Executive to ensure that all housing benefit information has been supplied by Tarasis Housing tenants.
  • Setting up payment plans with Housing tenants to ensure that all rent is paid.
  • Updating our Housing computer system (Sage 200) to ensure that all accounts are up to date.
  • Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring clients pay on time and negotiating repayment plans.
  • Advising tenants on arrears and payment plans.
  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the Housing Executive to ensure that tenant is adhering to tenancy agreement.
  • Inform Housing Executive & tenant of verbal and written warnings in relation to housing benefit and rent payments.

Essential Criteria:


  • Educated to GCSE Level, must include Maths and English (A
  • C Grade)
  • Strong knowledge of Sage Line 50 Payroll, Sage 200 or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills with a strong knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Flexible, reliable and responsive to change
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with changing priorities and to multitask
  • Ability to work amongst a team
  • Right to work within the UK
  • Fluent in English
