Full-time (35-hour week) fixed-term (18-month) contract

Location:
Hybrid Cambridge, London and remote home working within the UK

Salary:
£45,646 - £50,717 per annum plus benefits (2023 salary range)

The Royal Society of Chemistry seeks a programme manager to help us develop our member communities.

We are looking for:


  • Specialist knowledge in the networking and community needs of scientists and professionals.
  • Strong experience in project or programme management and ability to develop new ideas and strategic approaches to a programme, project or product.
  • Experience of working on projects involving multiple stakeholders and able to balance workload across multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement, with excellent listening, communication and influencing skills and ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy; proven ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships and networks.


The contractual base for this role is our Cambridge office where the team is based, however we are currently embracing hybrid working, and therefore you will have the opportunity to also work from a UK location other than this, as agreed with your line manager.

There is an expectation that employees will attend the offices as needed for their role.

This role will require attendance at our Cambridge and London offices (on average 1 day per week) and occasional attendance at out of hours events.
