Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am - 12pm
37.5 hours a week

Pay rate:
£12.70/h

Our client is a global manufacturing company, specialising in providing engineering solutions to an extensive list of high-profile automotive companies.

This Assembly Operative role will be responsible for assembly of valves for the automotive industry.

The successful Assembly Operative will be responsible for:

Producing automotive components using hand tools and machinery,
This role will require dexterity to assembly small automotive valve components,
Following standard operating procedures in order to assemble components in a timely manner, accurately and to the quality expected,
Operate and monitor assembly line machines,
Escalate line problems to supervisors,
Performs minor assembly line set up duties in preparation of assembly operations,
Meeting established unit production targets,
Inspection of all work, ensuring that any defects are identified,
Complete paperwork as required,
Keeps work area clean and tidy,
Observing safety rules at all times,

The ideal Assembly Operative:

Previous experience as an assembler in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Technical knowledge and ability to read SOPs, blueprints, drawings etc.
Ability to use hand tools,
Good understanding of quality control principles,
Good communication skills (verbal and written),
Computer literate.
