About us and the role


Warwickshire Public Health, part of the county council, is looking for organised and enthusiastic people with a strong track record in managing projects that contribute to improving and protecting population health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities.


  • Do you hold a qualification in public health or a related health and care field?
  • Have you got a minimum of 3 years' handson experience of running successful projects?
  • Do you know how to improve health and wellbeing using a public health preventative approach?
If the answer to one or more of these is 'yes', we would love to hear from you.


Following the pandemic period we have reset our priorities and are looking to increase the size of our staff team so that we can influence a wider range of services and partner organisations.

Our staff are visible both online and in our office space at Shire Hall, Warwick.


We are recruiting one full-time (37 hours per week) Public Health Principal officer role, to support the Public Health managers and leadership team deliver activity linked to inequalities and community safety.

Our priorities do change over time, along with our workloads.

There are opportunities to get involved in other aspects of Public Health work too, and to collaborate with team colleagues as well as people in other services and our communities.

We support in-house learning and development and are committed to developing our staff to become high-performing public health practitioners.
