About the role

West Northamptonshire Council have launched a new way of working within Turn Furlong, a Specialist Care Centre (Kingsthorpe, Northampton), alongside Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, to provide a new integrated health and social care model of care for people needing short term support upon discharge from hospital.

The Recovering Independence Beds unit is delivered by a range of staff, from both health and social care settings.

Our team deliver clinical care, rehabilitation support and care support, ensuring people experience the best quality of service they can, in a prompt and seamless way.


We deliver vital intermediate care for people in Northamptonshire, specialising in rehabilitation/reablement and sub-acute care for people discharged from acute hospitals.

As the focus of the centres is rehabilitation and reablement, the integrated multi-disciplinary team of staff includes senior nurses, staff nurses, unregistered staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical staff and care and support staff.

What will you be doing?

As a Housekeeper you'll carry out a range of duties such as cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks in both communal and private areas of the home.

You'll provide a high level of care to ensure all customer's personal belongings are safely returned and in good repair and their living spaces are treated with respect and compassion.


You will be required to work on a rota of 22 hours per week, between 8am - 6.30pm to include alternate weekends.

With a little extra pay for Sundays.

About you

You'll have high standards and will ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and with great attention to detail.


A basic knowledge of health, safety and hygiene knowledge is required for this role, and previous experience within a cleaning or housekeeping job is desirable but not essential.
