Service Administrator - West Essex

Full Time Permanent Role hours


The Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service (ECFWS) is a partnership between Barnardo's and HCRG providing an integrated 0-19 (SEND25) early intervention service.

Barnardo's are seeking a Service Administrator to join our West Essex Team. There are four Quadrants within Essex.


If you are a highly organised individual with sound communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative, then this could be the role for you.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Business Admin Support to ensure business processes are fulfilled for both Barnardo's and HCRG;
  • Lead for training in WestEssex including arranging, booking, monitoring compliance
  • Minute taking and arranging face to face and virtual meetings
  • Staff Data input (training will be provided)
  • Support with Key Performance Indicator reports and data drilling, some via the use of SystmOne (training will be provided).
  • Lead communication within West Essex i.e. cascading local information to colleagues, supporting with newsletters
  • Maintaining IT equipment logs

A valid driving licence and use of a car is essential for this role.

This role is based within Treehouse Family Hub, Harlow with the requirement to travel between bases within the West Essex

The Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service (ECFWS) is commissioned by Essex County Council and the West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

The service, which is provided by HCRG Care Group in partnership with Barnardo's, ensures that families continue tohave easy access to local services, with staff able to reach children and families in the community; whether in one of our Family Hubs or Delivery Sites, an Early Years Setting or School, or in a family's home.

This flexible and innovative new way of workingis about providing services without walls and ensuring those families who need support the most are easily reached.


Broad areas of support and service delivery are:
Health VisitingParenting SupportSchool NursingFamily HealthResilience and Child DevelopmentSupport for ages SEND)

As per NHS guidance this role may require successful applicants to evidence immunisations or immunity for MMR and Chicken Pox.

This is due to the clinical focus of some tasks and the requirement to work with vulnerable families, young people and children.

The roles within this service may also require the successful applicant to wear PPE including the wearing of a protective mask, to follow social distancing rules as stated within the current NHS guidelines and to remain compliant with any future mandatory requirementsintroduced by the Government/NHS.
