A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Demand Planner to join a leading distributor who operate in a niche market
.You will be joining a warm, vibrant friendly team, working in a fast-paced and busy working environment.

Responsibilities

As the Materials Planner you will be responsible for creating purchase orders using the businesses ERP system based on forecasts and current demand
Make amendments to forecasting systems where necessary to minimise stock without jeopardising supply
As the Demand Planner you will be liaising with suppliers to obtain delivery information on outstanding purchase orders
Take corrective actions to minimise disruption of supply including resourcing where necessary
As the Materials Planner you will monitor inventory levels against inventory budget, taking corrective action where necessary
Work with the wider Buying Team to develop processes, implement initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to create continuous improvement
Provide monthly performance and analysis reports to the Buying Manager
As the Demand Planner you will communicate expected delivery dates to internal and external stakeholders by maintaining the ERP system
Previous experience working as a Materials Planner/Demand Planner/Production Planner/Supply Chain Planner or similar is essential
Experience in ERP or MRP systems would be ideal
Advanced Excel skills including formulas, Vlook ups and pivot tables
Highly organised
Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
Team player
