About this role


The Specac IT & Insight Lead is a key role in the business to ensure that Specac gains useful insight from business data in an efficient manner to aid business decision making.

The role is also responsible for hardware and software deployment to enable the business growth strategy and employee's performance with appropriate IT tools.


Priority #1 for this role - is to ensure that all team members including self are not injured at work.

Priority #2- is to provide end-end technical support for Existing Product portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

Priority #- Health and Safety of all staff within your Project Cell.

Priority #2- To provide end-end technical support for Existing Product portfolio.

Priority #3- Own internal and external technical product support and request management.

Priority #4- own Existing Product enhancement projects

  • Have a good understanding of the management of data within the various processes of the organisation
(ERP:

MRP, CRM & Financial modules of primary focus)

  • Have ability to partner with all functional stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges today such that we are continuously working towards the bestinclass data management solution of tomorrow.
  • Support the business move towards a sole source of integrated information with appropriate analytical insight to support the creation of business value.
  • Free up time in Sales and Operations to drive greater commercial value, through leading the selective centralisation of information management tasks to drive organisational efficiency.

Role Key Deliverables

  • Work with the CFO to ensure all agreed central KPI reports are delivered to deadlines with relevant digestible insight, and we maximise the most from our available systems.
  • Manage any system deployments by collaborating with the relevant stakeholders in the busines to ensure that processes are adequately documented for the AS IS status, with any changes understood and owned for the TO BE solution appropriate to a successful ERP Phase 2 implementation.
  • With the support of the business, increase skills and competency of how all function process and manage information in their daytoday roles.
  • Develop and maintain the central records of the business with regards to IT users, licenses, all IT assets, lease agreements necessary for managing and controlling all thirdparty service agreements, assets, and the associated business data.
  • Lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery planning as it relates to IT / Data.
  • Manage and implement new directives to ensure IT policies are up to date. This should include as a priority our IT security policies and company training to prevent fraud and thirdparty hacking of our systems.
  • Recommending and where approved buying all Specac IT related assets and services to achieve optimised cost and solution effectiveness.
  • Support internal processes to ensure the smooth running of all IT systems and support on and off
- site users world-wide.

  • Comply with environmental policies and practices from an IT perspective.
  • Stay abreast of all UK legislation as it applies to IT and data security, advising the business of areas of noncompliance / risk.
  • Support HR and business policy and deployment on IT training related matters for the whole business.
  • Ensure that there is another staff member [MG] and/or Infinity can provide appropriate cover during holidays.
  • Support the CFO and budget holders with annual budget setting activities, and other adhoc requests as required.

Key Skills:


  • Ideally 58 years in data centric / IT role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A good cross functional collaborator
  • Demonstrate a result driven approach to tasks.
  • A champion of continuous improvement in how we use data as a business.
  • Excellent IT skills in using MS Office, ERP, and database systems.
  • Good organisational skills and diligence.

  • Legally able to work and live in the UK without company sponsorship.
