RNIB is looking for a Special Events and Projects Manager.


The RNIB Special Events Team delivers a programme of high-level cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events for external audiences, designed to foster meaningful relationships between RNIB and its supporters, donors and external stakeholders.

Our specialevents programme is key to supporting RNIB's ability to raise the funds and awareness needed to help RNIB achieve its vision of a world without barriers for people with sight loss.


What you will be doing


We are seeking a self-motivated and collaborative Special Events and Project Manager to join our small, but vital team, to lead on some of RNIB's high profile events.


Recently this has included the flagship RNIB See Differently Awards, an audio-described Netflix premiere screening, conferences, major donor dinners and key project launches.


The Special Events and Projects Manager will have ownership of the planning and execution of a calendar of events, working closely with the relevant 'event owners' (including senior stakeholders) across RNIB to design, effectively manage and smoothly deliverthese events to meet their objectives.


Working on events with senior stakeholders across the organisation, the role benefits from the variety of opportunities and experiences planning events at RNIB presents.


What you'll need to succeed in this role


You will be an enthusiastic, organised, and experienced Events Manager, balancing creativity and energy with strong project management skills and a talent for engaging with senior stakeholders.


You'll need to have the ability to work on projects involving a range of different teams, with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt style to suit the audience.


As a flexible team player, you will be confident managing your objectives and able to maintain focus on developing and delivering your plans, whilst contributing to a wide variety of projects where your expertise will add value.
