Job Summary:
Howick Automation is currently looking to recruit a Sales Estimator to join our small office team.

You will be required to create estimates from our template system for automated gate installations and repairs for new and existing customers.

We are looking for someone hardworking with good teamworking capabilities and extensive knowledge of Excel including using and creating formulas and Word documentation programs.

Must have a good telephone manner and work well under pressure.


Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
• Create estimates for clients using information from our site surveyors or engineers.
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or challenges.
• Provide timely and accurate estimates to clients.
• Program and alter access control systems (training provided).
• Discuss potential installations and/or breakdown works required with clients.
• Liase with suppliers / sub contractors for costs of materials and equipment.
• Issue breakdowns or services to engineers following clients phone calls.

Experience:

• Ability to work in an office environment working closely with other team members.
• Driving licence preferred.
• Ability to confidently talk over the phone with clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively read blueprints, specifications and technical drawings.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel including creating new databases or using formulae.
• Construction industry background preferred.

Pay:
£10.80-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
