We're looking for
Barrier Operative to join our Utilities, National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) team no two days are the same.

Within this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme.


Location:
Based from our Bridgwater depot


Contract:
Permanent - Full time


Salary:
Weekly paid, hourly rate £10.00ph to £14.00ph, dependant experience


Responsibilities


As a Barrier Operative for the National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) team you will be responsible for maintaining depot tidiness, barriers, stores and traffic lights.


Your day-to-day will include:

  • Deliver, set up and collect, traffic lights/signs/barriers to and from site in accordance with Chapter 8 Regulations.
  • Transporting stores and materials around the company area to support the depots.
  • Coning and letter dropping for R&M team works
  • Support the operational teams with day to day traffic management requirements (SLG)

This role of Barrier Operative is great for you if have:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • NRSWA unit 2 minimum
  • A good team player with flexible attitude, good problem solving skills and experience of dealing with Customers
