Our client is a leading national specialist painting contractor.This well established contractor manages large scale refurbishment and maintenance projects in various sectors including Commercial, Education, Property, Retail and infrastructure.
We are seeking an experienced Operations manager to manage the core functions of this business,Operational Management
- Ensure high standards of Health, Safety and compliance are achieved in all business activities
- Ensure high levels of client and customer satisfaction are achieved
- Develop and deliver the strategic vision for the operation.
- Manage the cashflow requirements of the operations, delegating and reviewing the sales invoicing process so they are raised on time
- Oversee monthly valuations to ensure they are accurate and submitted on time
- Assist in post tender contract negotiations
- Manage the team to complete timely, accurate contract mobilisation
- Oversee contracts to ensure they are completed to programme, client satisfaction is maintained and profit margins achieved
People Management
- Manage colleagues in line with company policies and procedures
- Develop, review and coach colleagues to deliver a great job
- Communicate regularly with your team and ensure toolbox talks are carried out
- Manage and oversee the training matrix
- Set a culture of professionalism in all business activities
Growing the business
- Oversee the pricing of tender documents, quotations, schedule of rates, bill of quantities and quality submissions
- Work with Business Development Managers and sales team to identify opportunities to meet sales and business plan targets
- Drive and support all Company initiatives such as customer care and corporate social responsibility
Improvements, Policies and Procedures
- Oversee and embed new company polices and processes an as and when required
- Follow and implements company policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to implement innovation to achieve efficiencies
Health & Safety and Quality
- Ensure all health and safety and quality documentation are in place and fit for purpose for my business unit (including RAM's)
- Ensure the Health & Safety and welfare in relation to colleagues, sub contractors, clients and general public
- Ensure that IMS (Environmental and Quality) procedures and practices are fully complied with for my business unit
- Drive and support company information management system changes and ensure they are implemented within my business unit
- Ensure health and safety and quality inspections are carried out, documented and any appropriate action taken within my business unit
