Description

A leading, innovative, producer of high-quality leafy salad in the Southeast of England and Spain, we currently employ 60 full time and up to 80 seasonal staff during peak season, based at our headquarters near Deal in Kent.

We look to develop from within where possible.

We are seeking to appoint committed, enthusiastic individuals to the position of:

Factory Line Leader
Based in our expanding salad packing facility, reporting to Shift Leaders.

We have expanded our operation considerably in 2023, which means there will be many opportunities to grow and develop with us.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

Leading and motivating a production team on one of our low-risk salad packing lines.
Instructing, training and developing team members.
Adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
Ensuring the accuracy of all documentation created during production and processing.
Accurate labelling of all products.
Achieving productivity targets on production lines.
Supervising the cleaning of the factory environment and equipment to meticulous hygienic specifications.
Any other duties as required.

There are a variety of different shifts with different working patterns including:

Day Shift

Rate of pay:
£12.48 per hour for the first 48 hours per week, overtime rate is £15.60 per hour.

Working Patterns can be:

Set two days off per week between Monday
Sunday. You will be expected to work at least one weekend day.
Four days working, 2 days off work pattern.

Night Shift

Rate of Pay:
£13.10 per hour for the first 48 hours per week, overtime rate is £16.38 per hour.

Working Pattern:
Set two days off per week between Monday - Sunday. You will work a maximum average of 8 hours per shift calculated over 17 weeks.

Accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to communicate with and influence a diverse team.
The confidence to challenge nonconformance.
Effective management and prioritisation of daily and weekly tasks.
IT competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
A work ethic and attitude that inspires and sets the standard for the team working under you.
