Internal Business Development Executive

Manchester

£25,000 - £30,000 + generous commission structure (OTE £50,000 +)
Are you an ambitious, focused and personable individual who is looking to embark on their next Sales and Account Management opportunity?


As Internal Business Development Executive you will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.


You will work to develop customers' needs from a variety of sources including existing, prospects, lapsed, existing and our major customers.

Once you start to develop potential new customer needs and wants you will work closely with the account executivesto smoothly transact, process and complete orders as the business grows.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, lapsed customers, low spenders, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Research and target lapsed customers, understand their needs and propose improved solutions
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • Identify the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Work with the account executives to ensure smooth handover, conversion and ensure transactions complete
  • Develop a strong knowledge of your account base
  • Create a sales pipeline
  • Provide bespoke pricing to customers and ensure they uphold their spend pledge
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Link in with Field Sales if customer visit is necessary
  • Effectively cross sell and upsell and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPI's such as revenue, profitability, call volumes and quality, talk time, data enrichment

Key Experience, Personal Characteristics and Skills:

  • Hunter mentality, dynamic and very tenacious
  • Strong outbound experience
  • Able to work as part of team
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to network with clients outside of work time when appropriate
  • Results driven with a proven track record of achieving results
  • Strong commercial understanding, sound analytical skills with an eye for seeing profitable business opportunities
  • Proven ability to multitask while paying strict attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Persuasive and professional
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • GCSE A-C/Level 4 or above in English and Maths essential
