Description

As the Sample Room Coordinator, you will support in the design & manufacture of vital customer packaging prototypes and short-run production orders on our CAD/CAM production process.

You will be responsible for maintaining inventory in this area and also available to support when required in the Lab and Production areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) of vital first time prototypes and shortrun production
  • Assembly and construction of multimaterial packs, working with foam, timber, corrugated and more
  • Package and ship prototypes to Customers
  • Manage the inventory of stock board, CAD table parts, glues etc required in the sample room area
  • Work to a production plan to achieve the agreed timelines with Customers as set by the Planning Manager
  • Assisting in maintaining a UKAS accredited laboratory including calibration on lab & factory equipment
  • Analysing & testing paper & fibreboard samples.
  • Assisting with testing dangerous goods packaging and preparing final client reports.
  • Interaction with colleagues in other departments and customers alike.
  • Contribution to department's health and safety initiatives and general housekeeping duties

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work within a dynamic team environment.
  • Background interest in a technical role
  • Previous CAD/CAM experience would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills and able to interact with others.
  • Ability to work in a professional and structured environment.
  • Good timemanagement and able to work to a deadline.
  • Previous use of Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Good IT skills as you will be required to work with various IT systems and equipment
  • Enthusiastic and demonstrate a creativity and desire to learn and take on new challenges
