Description
As the Sample Room Coordinator, you will support in the design & manufacture of vital customer packaging prototypes and short-run production orders on our CAD/CAM production process.
You will be responsible for maintaining inventory in this area and also available to support when required in the Lab and Production areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) of vital first time prototypes and shortrun production
- Assembly and construction of multimaterial packs, working with foam, timber, corrugated and more
- Package and ship prototypes to Customers
- Manage the inventory of stock board, CAD table parts, glues etc required in the sample room area
- Work to a production plan to achieve the agreed timelines with Customers as set by the Planning Manager
- Assisting in maintaining a UKAS accredited laboratory including calibration on lab & factory equipment
- Analysing & testing paper & fibreboard samples.
- Assisting with testing dangerous goods packaging and preparing final client reports.
- Interaction with colleagues in other departments and customers alike.
- Contribution to department's health and safety initiatives and general housekeeping duties
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Ability to work within a dynamic team environment.
- Background interest in a technical role
- Previous CAD/CAM experience would be beneficial
- Good communication skills and able to interact with others.
- Ability to work in a professional and structured environment.
- Good timemanagement and able to work to a deadline.
- Previous use of Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Good IT skills as you will be required to work with various IT systems and equipment
- Enthusiastic and demonstrate a creativity and desire to learn and take on new challenges
