The Company


Brewster Partners are currently recruiting for an Accounts Senior on behalf of a Leeds based client operating within the professional services sector.

The client is a well-established company with multiple national offices.


The Job


This is a permanent and full-time role at 37 hours per week, the hours will be distributed between 8:15am - 4:30pm M-T & 8:15am - 4pm on Fridays.

Within this role, you will be responsible for providing a fast-paced accountancy practice with accounts and audit support.

Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ad-hoc accountancy duties or administrative support if necessary
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of Vat returns (quarterly)
  • Client portfolio management
  • Provide training to junior members of staff
  • Interact comfortably with directors and business owners
  • Attend client meetings
  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Preparation of partnership accounts and returns

The Person
Previous experience working in an accountancy practice will be essential for this role.

Alongside studying towards / already attained one of the following:
AAT/ACA/ACCA.

Strong prioritisation skills and time management skills will be vital in this role, alongside:

  • Professional and positive attitude to work
  • Good technical skills
  • Strong written ability
  • Discreet and mindful when handling confidential information
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience of Sage 50, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage business cloud
  • Competent in record keeping
